Bird Traps

A favourite among trappers. A kneaded lump of latex that is strong enough to hold a bird sometimes up to the size of raptors. The best is taken from a particular tree which I have yet to ascertain the scientific name. Properly kneaded, it is strong enough to stick and hold down a bird that perches on it yet not too sticky to damage its feather. Best part is it lasts for years if properly taken care of. One trapper boasts 20 over years ;-)

I have one lump that has been with me for 3 years until a friend mix it with rat glue and spoil the latex. It became too soft and sticky. A useful item to have to recapture escaped birds.
